2019 JUNIOR GOLF PROGRAM

The Audubon Country Club Professional Staff and Golf Committee are pleased to introduce the 2019 Junior Golf Program.  The program features instruction from three Class A PGA instructors as well as an LPGA Apprentice.  The 2019 program will provide opportunities for all age and commitment levels.

Pre-Registration Period (Friday, March 1st through Sunday, March 17th)

One of the benefits of golf membership at ACC is the opportunity for early registration to Junior Golf Mini-Camp, clinics, and scrambles during the pre-registration period. Dependents of golf members, who return registration forms during pre-registration, are guaranteed a spot in the Mini-Camp and are more likely to be awarded their preferred clinic and scramble dates. Once pre-registration is closed, grandchildren of golf members and children of ACC social members may fill any remaining openings. Participation in PGA Junior League and the Academy program is exclusive to dependents of golf members*.

JUNIOR MINI-CAMP PROGRAM – AGE 3-6

This program affords aspiring young juniors the opportunity to learn golf in a fun, camp-style format. Program fee covers clinics, play days, and mini parent-child tournament. To ensure the safety of our juniors, a parent or guardian is required to attend camp with each participant. A total of nine hours of instruction and on course play will be offered.
Program Fee - $80

CLINICS & WEDNESDAY SCRAMBLE NIGHTS – AGE 7-13

A-la-carte programming designed to enhance young golfers’ skills and enjoyment of the game. Clinics are open to all ability levels with topics including: chipping, pitching, full swing, distance control, driver, and putting. Multiple sessions on each topic are available. Maximum student to teacher ratio is 5:1. Juniors may also register for “Wednesday Scrambles”. Juniors are paired in foursomes/fivesomes with a member of the professional staff who will guide them through a low pressure scramble format. Parents are welcome to drive along to encourage the juniors and to shuttle them to the next hole.
Clinics - $20 per session - Scrambles - $25 per event

THE AUDUBON ACADEMY (REQUIRES PROFESSIONAL STAFF APPROVAL)

This exclusive program is designed to enhance the skills of junior golfers interested in individual competition. Juniors accepted into the Academy must demonstrate self-motivation and the skills necessary to succeed in the program. Instruction is focused green to tee rather than the traditional tee to green approach. The Audubon Academy is broken into eight-week semesters which include six classes of advanced instruction along with four, nine hole tournament rounds. Juniors must achieve the target score of 36 from baseline distances to advance to higher levels. Parents/grandparents are STRONGLY encouraged to assist with transportation and score-keeping in tournament rounds.

Program Fee - $250

PGA JUNIOR LEAGUE (BY PROFESSIONAL STAFF INVITATION)

With over 50,000 juniors participating in 2018, the PGA Junior League is the fastest growing youth team sport in the country. Reflective of this national growth, the Derby City League now offers three divisions for aspiring young competitors at our member clubs. Competing in our league again this year will be: Audubon, Big Spring, Hurstbourne, Owl Creek, Wildwood, and Louisville Country Club. The Audubon Aces will compete in five games within the league. Games will consist of five matches with at least two players from each team competing in every match. All team members will receive home & away jerseys as well as a bag tag. Juniors will enjoy a total of twelve experiences to include the opening jamboree, intra-squad match, team practices, and home & away matches.

ACC Program Fee - $295 – PGA Junior League Registration Fee - $75
